My name is Bethany.
This blog is about my walk with God, my faith, my questions, my shortcomings, my thankfulness.
I have a very supportive husband and family who I am so grateful for.
I am a perfectionist, an often find myself trapped by my inability to just do something half-heartedly.
I envision projects with too high of an expectation, and then never even start because I'm crippled by not being able to get past my own ideals.
I think this has played a strong role in my lack of time spent with God over the years.
I always thought to truly read the Bible and get something out of it, I needed to have commentaries on hand and break down each sentence to get its original context.
My goal this year is simply to read it.
Some of my thoughts and responses are going to be naive and probably incorrect.
I'm looking for God to speak to me, and not for me to find all the answers.
